I have new employment! Well sort of anyway. I applied to a video store just for kicks. I got an interview and I suddenly wanted to work there really badly. Unfortunately I didn’t get that job. On the plus side, a friend of mine is “hiring” me to watch his kid while he and his wife are busy with work, rest and the like. Any money is good money, so I am happy. Even if I didn’t get my “dream job” at a video store, I will be doing something to help someone and get paid for it. I don’t know the exact rate of pay as of yet, but like I said, any money is good money. I am very happy to help them out and just as happy to have a small sort of additional income. I am very excited about this. I start tomorrow and go thru Saturday to Monday this week. I am basically going to almost quadruple my spending funds if this goes all the way!
So I have been on the hunt for a bulk pack of Ghost in the Shell. I found what I was looking for! I found a torrent that has it all. All of the movies, series and OVAs. The only thing I am missing now is the live action movie with Scarlett Johansson. The torrent is 29.1GB but I can nab it at 4.3mbps so it will download quickly. I am surprised that the torrent is as small as it is. I am excited to start watching Ghost in the Shell all over again!
I will begin work on my comic book database next Wednesday. I estimate it will take about two weeks to fully complete, so that is something to look forward to. I think I have around 175 to 200 comic books, but I am not sure. That number can be lower or higher, who knows?
I have updated my contact page and removed fatty tracker. I am off to shop for shoes and vittles. Take care, fellow nerds!
So sorry that I haven’t updated my blog in quite some time. There just hasn’t been anything worth writing about. I got to go the gym three times this week instead of just two.
I ran into some guy I went to high school with this week. He was a douche then and he is a douche now. He claims to have been and all-star football player for the high school team. I know every athlete from the classes of 2004 to 2009 in most all of the sports… all he did was cause trouble, he was far from being an athlete. Anyway, he tired to start something the other day; he tried to provoke me. I let it slide by laughing :p.
The carpet floors in the main hallways of the building have all been uprooted and replaced with hardwood flooring! This has forced all of the usual classes to be replaced by going to another building. This is why I went to the gym three times this week instead of two. I even got to check out some scary and cool/funny movies this week! I rented Scream, Rocky Balboa, and Animal House! I guess it’s a grab bag of movies rather than a few scary/cool ones :p.
I have at least 200 comic books and still haven’t gotten around to organizing them. Should I continue with my spreadsheet, sell some, what?? I would like your opinion on this matter :).
My parents will be celebrating their 37th anniversary this Halloween. I am glad you are both happy and have stuck it out through thick and thin over these past almost four decades! Enjoy it!
I have uploaded a current copy of my comic book spreadsheet. At the moment there are only 50 entries out of who knows many. I estimate upwards of 100 to 150 total. I have mostly Marvel comics but I dab in DC and Dark Horse, too. If you look closely you will see that I am a huge fan of Fantastic Four. I will try and add 20 every day until I reach the end; the spreadsheet will be updated as I update it on my pc :-).
I finally decided that is high time that I update my Deviant Art channel. The new render is of Saitama from the One Punch Man series. It is my 62nd deviant to this date, and my 20th render. I have nine wallpapers, eight short stories and ten photos on my channel. Again, if you want a special render or wallpaper just let me know on Facebook, e-mail, or my DA channel and I’ll take a crack at it. You can find my latest render here.
With thanks to Ferg I might be able to play one of my old favorite games of all time: Evolution. It is a game where you start out as creatures the Permian era and try to keep up evolving your creatures as time ticks away. There are natural disasters in the game to keep you on your toes. You can download it here, but you need a virutal machine to run it; simply running it in compatibility mode will not do!
I say again and again that I will work on my comic book database and I am finding it difficult to keep motivated. I have decided that, starting tonight, I will do ten to fifteen entries a day. That way I should have it completed within the span of a little over a month!
I spent my last day in Kansas City, MO. in the pool. Five hours in the pool with no sunscreen. I have a pretty good size sunburn; most of it is on my shoulders and back. I swam 40 laps and played a bunch of water polo. It was glorious fun! I figure that it had better be fun——I spent $10 for a entrance fee!
I got a big bag of comic books from my cousin and her husband. I have no idea how many are in the bag, but it has to be more than 50! Means I need to expand my database…
I finished my password generator program in Java. I found my old book from high school from my ap programming class. I am going to re-read it in hopes that Java will come back to me. I need to relearn the concepts of OOP. My password program consists of three classes plus the main one, “Passwords.java”. I made a GitHub account to post my stuff on. There is only one on it at the moment, my generator. I hope people find it useful. I posted the source and the bin files. If you need help in running, or compiling the program, let me know on Facebook, IRC, or e-mail and I will help. The source is here, and the binary files are here. Enjoy!
