Hanukkah is still going on—day six; Saturday night was the big celebration in the household. There was tons of food to be eaten! There was matza balls, latkes, hummus, cheese, green beans, and much more! There were around twenty to twenty four people in this tiny household. After the food and drink, there were gifts. I scored a huge gift card for Amazon.com. I had a great time visiting my family, it’s a shame that I only get to visit every six months to a year at a time!
I know I said that I would wait until January to see Episode VIII, but my Aunt and Uncle wanted to see it this weekend. I absolutely loved it. It kept you on your seat for a good chunk. The ending was okay I guess. I won’t spoil anything for those that actually read this blog and haven’t seen it yet.
I have been sick with food poisoning for the past few days. As a result, I have been out of the gym for some while. Today I didn’t feel like lifting weights, riding a bike, or swimming. Instead I decided to join the rest of the group and play volleyball. The group has been bugging me to play with them for quite some time. I finally gave in and had a great time! I felt kind of dizzy on the last game and had to sit out. I blame being slightly dehydrated from the food poisoning.
Since I have been down for the count for the past while, I haven’t been able to game all that much. I am going to Kansas City, MO to celebrate Hanukkah with my Jewish family up North. I won’t be able to really game until next Wednesday.
A friend of mine, Falneth, loaned me his copy of Tales of Xillia for the Play Station 3. It is a live action, free roam RPG. It reminds me of World of Warcraft because it is also a free roam RPG; also because it is so freaking addictive! You start as a female character by the name of Lord Maxwell. She is in charge of “The Four”. That’s all I am going to say. I don’t want to spoil anything! I have been dabbing in it all week but haven’t had that much play time due to groups. The weekend is here, though, and I shall have many, many hours of playtime! All I have to say about this game is: play at your own risk–it is highly addictive!
I have been following Dragon Ball Super very closely and I find it almost as fun to watch as the original Dragon Ball from way back in the mid to late 1980’s. It features the fun tournament style martial arts mixed with the Dragon Ball Z style of “powering up”. It features a new take on super saiyans. It features a whole new take on the dragon balls. You thought that the namekian dragon balls were big, pffff you haven’t seen anything yet. The dragon balls in Dragon Ball Super are literally as big as whole freaking planets!
On to other shows! I have all of the current episodes of Konohana Kitan but haven’t watched a single episode yet. I am probably going to wait until it finished at episode 12 and binge the entire series. I have the series I want to watch this winter already picked out. I am going to watch Slow Start and Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san. Both are coming out this January. Slow Start comes out on January 7, 2018. Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san just comes out sometime in January, there is no set date that I can find. Both are Slice of Life, Comedy/Romance and School type… just like Azumanga Daioh!, my favorite anime of all time :).
I am ready as ever for Christmas to come around. I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, Buttons and Tango, and opening presents. I hope to shift things up a bit this year. I want to visit my relatives in Kansas City to do some Hanukkah cheers. I wish the best for those who have no family or homes to go to… it brings tears to my eyes every time I think of those poor individuals.
I purchased Assassin’s Creed for the PS3, Shin Megami Tensei IV for the 3DS. Falneth loaned me Tales of Xillia and Dragon Ball Xenoverse to play as well :). I want to get Sims 3 and Tabletop Simulator for Steam. Both have been on my wish list for quite some time now. I plan on buying a Steam card to put funds on my account. Unless I get one for Christmas that is! I got my holiday shopping done early this year. Got parents taken care of a few days ago. I can’t wait to give them their loot! :D
I hope everyone had a good Halloween, fall is in full swing and it is starting to get colder outside! I went to a bonfire on the 28th of October and I had a blast! There was a ton of alcohol and food to satisfy at least 20+ people. I took Ferg and H along and they seemed to enjoy it. I played pool while I was there and I quickly learned that I am not a shark. I kept scratching and knocking the 8 ball in too early!
It looks like the next major holiday is Thanksgiving. Egg nog is already on the shelves and I couldn’t be any happier. Egg nog is my favorite drink of all time! I don’t like it with alcohol, though. Alcohol and egg nog mixed makes me sick to my stomach.
I am going to an employment agency on Friday to see about getting a temp job that will agree with my situation and medical insurance.
I am re-watching Dragonball and playing TERA heavily. I need to make more time to play Diablo III: Reaper of Souls. I am only level 12, so there is plenty of game left to play! Speaking of games, I witnessed Ferg beat South Park: Stick of Truth in under 24 hours! I want to play South Park: The Fractured but Whole now! I finished Gamers! and it had a cliffhanger ending. Speaking of cliffhanger endings, One Punch Man season 2 is under the works! I am going to start watching Konohana Kitan soon.
Time to get some groceries at the store and replenish my food supply. Then I’m going to play some TERA!
Happy Halloween and 37th anniversary to my parents!
