So today was leg day at the gym. Well more like chest, delt, tricep and leg day. My chest feels fine as of now, but my delts and triceps are feeling it. My legs and glutes are especially cooked at this moment. I can’t wait until tomorrow when it hurts to sit on the toilet and poop! I had to climb some stairs around an hour after my workout… total pain ensued. I totally hate leg day, but I have to if I want my leg press and squat to go up. I couldn’t do bench press today because NOBODY knows how to spot in that God forsaken gym I go to… I am switching gyms soon. I had to use the “chest press” machine. I prefer free weights unless it’s something like lat pull down or leg press. My favorite exercises are bench press, lat pull down and deadlift. I stopped lifting for a few years; I am slowly getting my strength back. In high school I maxed 405 pounds on bench press; worked out 5×5 with 335 pounds.
My girlfriend, A, and I are binging the Saw series. We are about to start 4 soon. We like horror movies :). I am also getting into Paper Mario, Ocarina of Time and Final Fantasy XV!
I went swimming today and the water was so fucking cold! The past few times I went in the pool at the gym, the water was an ambient 80 to 85 degrees. The water clocked in at around 40 degrees today! I was going to lift weights but the pool looked so appetizing and the smell was intoxicating. The last time I felt water this cold was in Sugar Creek in our old camping spot. One person got in the pool for about two minutes before the cold was too much for him to handle. I swim breast stroke because it works out my upper body muscles something pretty fierce. I feel like I spent an hour lifting weights just from swimming!
Speaking of lifting weights, I plan on getting a membership at a new gym–one that I can actually afford! It is called Planet Fitness; it is a 24 hour gym with a ton of equipment. The distance is a bit hard to go, but it will be well worth it!
I am rebuilding my comic book database AGAIN. I will not make an excel sheet; I will make a graphic visualation instead. I don’t have an eta on when it will be done.
I have some bad news to report, and more bad news to report. Let me start out with the bad news. The lens on my Xbox One has decided to hiccup. It will not read any discs of any sort; game, dvd, or blu ray. My friend, Gamaken, is going to help me in trying to fix it. I was told that your run of the mill disc cleaner may actually cause fatal damage to the lens reader itself. The plan is to open the Xbox and clean it all up on the inside. I will be bringing my console to the usual game location this Saturday so we can get this all done! At the moment all I can do is read data off of a USB drive and play Fable II since it was downloaded on my drive. I hope to remedy this situation soon so I can play again!
Now for the bad news. I have gained back some of the weight that I lost. I have gained four pounds back due to overeating and not counting my calories. I am putting my foot down and starting from square one! There shall be no more than 1800 calories in my system every day. I will be satisfied with only 1500, but NO MORE THAN 1800!! At the time of this post, I have had 1090 calories. I will be dining with my girlfriend tonight; low cal. for Alex! I am making corn beef hash and eggs–very low cal.
In September I will get a membership to Planet Fitness. Now I can go to the gym five days a week for hours on end! It is a 24 hour gym so all I need to worry about is my curfew and transportation costs. I am so stoked. Gamaken will be working out there as well so I will have a spotter. Since I stopped lifting with my father, I have needed a strong person to spot me! Belly be gone I say!
This Saturday I went to a birthday party for Ferg, Gamaken, and his son. It was great fun!
Today is a happy day! I confirm that I have lost indeed 16 pounds on a scale while fully clothed. That leaves me at 314 unclothed and 317 clothed, shoes and all on. I learned how to poach an egg today! My goal weight is 295 to 300 around the start of October. This is a very realistic goal considering that I am now able to work out three to five days a week. By “working out” I mean running, cycling, weight lifting, volleyball, basketball and swimming. I enjoy all of these activities; although I am not the best basketball player around ;)

I have been watching horror movies and Naruto with my girlfriend. It is a lot of fun having someone who likes the same kind of movies and anime that you do! Tonight I rented Night of the Living Dead. The classic zombie movie; fuck your zombie apocalypse shows, this is how real zombies behave! B)

My weight is still going down. I have lost 16 pounds. I am sad to say that I have had 2 cheat days this week… BAD, ALEX! It won’t happen again for a loooooong time! My goal is 310 by August 24th. Wish me luck!
